Fill In The Missing Word “NOW”
October 29, 2011
You fill in the word that fits. The same word goes into all blanks.
“I’ll send this card to my bereaved friend ________”
(Now where did it go?)
“I’ll put the folded clothes up ___________”
(When did they get so scattered?)
“I’ll put this bill in a pile and pay it __________”
(Why is the water turned off?)
“I’ll unload the dishwasher _________”
(What a mess the sink has become!)
“I’ll make the bed __________”
(Oh well, it is night now anyway.)
“I’ll do a batch of laundry _______.”
(Underwear can be worn again — I think.)
“I’ll unpack this suitcase _________”
(What happened to all my clothes?)
And on and on it goes. If the missing word, LATER, is present in your life, you know how it can confuse your life and clutter your house. When we put things off until LATER we undermine
our organizing efforts.
“LATER” now equals CLUTTER now.

Make Your Bed
March 28, 2011
CONTINUE TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THINGS
Sometimes we think of the bed as rumpled bedclothes that need to be straightened just because it is the custom in our country to do it. We think of it as a nuisance job that will only need to be redone the next day.
Instead think of it as the largest and potentially most beautiful piece of furniture in the house. Design your bed so that it is worth making up. Do you need a new spread or more pillows?
Obtain whatever inspires you to the point that your bed will cast a happy glow over your house. Viewed properly, making the bed can become a positive and creative pleasure.
Take control of your thinking and your actions will follow.

6 Steps To An Organized Bedroom
October 20, 2010
Does your bedroom look like a tornado hit it? Do you have things lying around that don’t have a specific location for where they should be kept? If this sounds like you, now is the time to get rid of the clutter in your bedroom. Organize it before it gets the best of you. This is not that hard to do once you get the hang of it. The following tips can show you how to properly organize your bedroom.
1. Only put bedroom items in your bedroom. Many people, in error, hide clutter in their bedrooms just to make other rooms appear organized. This poses a problem because with the extra clutter from other rooms, your bedroom no longer has an adequate amount of space for you to move around, find your belongings or to even clean it.
So, if an item should be in another room, leave it in that room. Do not put it in your bedroom. Organize with this one action, and you will be one step closer to getting your bedroom clutter under control.
2. Ensure that your dresser surface is not piled high with things that could be stored in other places. For instance, if these things belong in your dresser drawers, put them in the drawers and not on top of the dresser. It is very easy to put stuff on top of the dresser instead of inside the drawers.
3. Your shoes should be stored neatly in the closet and not all over your room, such as under the bed. It is extremely convenient to leave your shoes in the same spot where you took them off instead of putting them in the closet. Unfortunately, you can trip over them in the middle of the night when you go to the bathroom. In order to avoid this, put your shoes in your closet every day. It might even be a good idea to have a shoe rack for your closet.
4. Are your clothes thrown all around your bedroom? Organize them properly. You can do better than this. Sort your dirty clothes from the clean ones and put them in the laundry hamper. If you can’t tell the dirty ones from the clean ones, wash them when you are in doubt. Hang or fold up your clean clothes and neatly put them in the correct drawers.
5. Do you get into an unmade bed every night? An unmade bed is the number one sign of a cluttered bedroom. Organize and get this under control. Make up your bed every morning, which will make your room look much better.
For even more bedroom organization, purchase an armoire for additional storage space. This will allow you to properly store your pillows and blankets while you make up your bed each morning.
6. Neatly store your jewelry in a jewelry box. There are so many beautiful ones to choose. They are also available in large and small sizes, depending on how much space you will need for your jewelry.
There are even various kinds of jewelry boxes for hanging jewelry such as earrings. So put all jewelry that is currently out, up and away.
Use the above suggestions and you will get rid of the clutter in your bedroom. Organize it properly and maintain it. You will discover that a clean bedroom provides a better sleeping experience. It won’t take that long to get the clutter out of your bedroom. Organize and get rid of it today.

5 Steps to Maintaining An Organized Bedroom!
September 27, 2010
How to organize clutter in the master bedroom:
1. Take stock of what is causing clutter in the bedroom. Once you can see what is causing the clutter you can take steps to organize the clutter.
2. On the flat surfaces like dressers and night stands things such as cosmetics, lotions, change, keys, cell phones, purses etc. can create clutter. Place attractive, decorative baskets to corral these items. If some of the items don’t belong in the bedroom make a place for them to live in another place in the home. Make it a habit to put things where they belong.
3. In the drawers put drawer organizers to contain clothing like lingerie, socks, and undies. When things are contained they don’t grow and become jumbled together. It saves time and frustration. It is faster to find what you are looking for when in a hurry to get dressed and it doesn’t take your precious time always needing to straighten them. In the sock drawer put socks in drawer organizers according to the type of sock. Socks can be separated by sport, dressy, every day, and work. If there are a lot of socks this makes it much faster to find what you are looking for and they don’t become all mixed up together. In the lingerie drawer put drawer organizers to separate the different kinds of lingerie. Or neatly stack them and when putting them back in the drawer after laundering them make sure they go in the pile where they belong rather than just stuffing them in the drawer.
4. When hanging clothes back in the closet hang them with their same kind. (Blouses together, skirts, pants etc) It is tempting to just jam them in any ‘ole place but it saves time and energy to put them where they belong. And it will be faster to get dressed when going out to work or to play.
5. Help me, help me I’m suffocating—do you have a chair in the bedroom that is screaming this beneath laundry or clothes that have been thrown there? Take the time every day to organize clutter on the chair by not cluttering the chair in the first place, which takes no time at all. A chair in the bedroom is nice to cuddle up in to read or sit on to put on shoes. It is not meant to be a clothes hanger. Get in the habit of hanging up clothes after being worn instead of throwing them on the chair. It will save time and energy.
Organizing clutter in the bedroom is a snap when it is done a little at a time and actually before clutter accumulates. Thank you to Marily Bohn for these great tips!
